How to Update Instagram?

To update Instagram, follow these general steps on your smartphone. Keep in mind that the exact steps might vary slightly depending on your device’s operating system (iOS or Android):

For iOS (iPhone):

  1. Open the App Store: Tap on the “App Store” icon on your iPhone’s home screen to open the App Store.
  2. Navigate to Updates: At the bottom of the App Store screen, tap on the “Updates” tab. This will show a list of all the apps that have available updates.
  3. Find Instagram: Scroll through the list of apps to find “Instagram.” If you see “Update” next to the Instagram app, it means there is a new version available.
  4. Update Instagram: Tap the “Update” button next to Instagram. The App Store will download and install the latest version of Instagram on your device.

For Android:

  1. Open the Google Play Store: Tap on the “Google Play Store” icon on your Android device’s home screen to open the Play Store.
  2. Access My Apps & Games: Tap on the three horizontal lines (hamburger menu) at the top-left corner of the Play Store screen to open the menu. From the menu, select “My apps & games.”
  3. Find Instagram: On the “My apps & games” screen, you’ll see a list of apps with available updates. Scroll through the list or tap on “Installed” to find Instagram.
  4. Update Instagram: If there’s an available update for Instagram, you’ll see an “Update” button next to it. Tap the “Update” button, and the Google Play Store will download and install the latest version of Instagram.

Note:

  • Make sure you’re connected to a Wi-Fi network to ensure a stable and fast download of the update.
  • If you don’t see an “Update” button, it means you’re already using the latest version of Instagram.

Regularly updating Instagram (and other apps) is important to ensure you have access to the latest features, improvements, and security fixes.
