Our purpose

Smartupworld publishes practical guides on software, devices, the web and everyday technology. Every article should help a reader finish a real task: fix a problem, choose a product or understand how something works.

Who writes our content

Every article carries the name of the person responsible for it, linked to an author page showing their background and the topics they cover. See all of our authors. When an outside expert writes or reviews a piece, we show their name and role on the article as "Written by" or "Reviewed by".

How we research and write

• Steps and settings are checked against the current version of the app, device or service where possible.
• Facts, prices, specifications and statistics come from primary sources: official documentation, manufacturers, and public data.
• We say plainly when something depends on the version, region or account type.
• Product recommendations are based on features, published specifications and documented user experience. They are never paid for.

Use of AI tools

We may use AI tools to help with research, outlines and drafting. A named author is responsible for every published article and reviews it for accuracy before it goes live. We do not publish AI output unreviewed.

Keeping articles up to date

Technology changes fast. We revisit articles when apps, devices or prices change and show the date of the last real update on the article. We do not change dates without changing content.

Corrections

If you find an error, please tell us through our contact page with the article link. We review every report, correct confirmed errors promptly and update the article's date when the change is significant.

Independence and advertising

Advertising and affiliate links help fund the site. They never decide what we write or recommend, and advertisers cannot review or approve articles before publication. Read our advertising & affiliate disclosure.
