How to Turn Off a PS4

To turn off a PS4, follow these steps:

  1. Press and hold the PlayStation button on the controller. This will bring up the Quick Menu.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the Quick Menu to the “Power” option.
  3. Select “Power” and then choose “Turn Off PS4”.
  4. You will be prompted to confirm that you want to turn off the console. Select “Yes” to confirm.
  5. Wait for the PS4 to power down completely. The power indicator light on the front of the console will turn off.

Alternatively, you can also turn off the PS4 by pressing and holding the power button on the front of the console until it beeps twice and powers down. However, using the controller to turn off the console is recommended as it ensures that the system is properly shut down and helps prevent any data loss or damage to the system.
