How to keep your iPhone screen on for a longer time, or set it to never turn off

On an iPhone, the screen auto-lock feature is designed to conserve battery life by turning off the display after a certain period of inactivity. However, you can adjust the auto-lock settings to keep your iPhone screen on for a longer time or set it to never turn off. Here’s how you can do it:

Adjust Auto-Lock Settings on iPhone:

  1. Open Settings: Tap on the “Settings” app on your iPhone’s home screen.
  2. Display & Brightness: Scroll down and tap on “Display & Brightness.”
  3. Auto-Lock Settings: In the “Display & Brightness” settings, you’ll find the “Auto-Lock” option. Tap on it.
  4. Choose Auto-Lock Time: You’ll see several options for the auto-lock time, ranging from 30 seconds to 5 minutes. Choose the time interval that suits your preference. If you want to keep the screen on for a longer time, select a higher time interval.

Note: There is no option within iOS to set the screen to never turn off through regular settings. The maximum time option available is 5 minutes. However, if you need the screen to stay on indefinitely, you might need to use a third-party app or accessory.

Keep in mind that keeping the screen on for extended periods can significantly impact your iPhone’s battery life. It’s recommended to use this feature only when necessary and to be mindful of your device’s power consumption.
