Downloading Your Facebook Data: A Step-by-Step Guide

On Your Desktop:

  1. Log in to your Facebook account.

  6. Click Create a File.

On Your Mobile App:

  1. Open the Facebook app and tap the hamburger menu (three lines) in the bottom right corner (Android) or top right corner (iOS).
  2. Scroll down and tap Settings & Privacy, then select Settings.

  4. Tap Download Your Information.
  5. Tap Request a Download.
  6. Select Complete copy and choose your desired date range.
  7. Tap Submit request.

  9. Follow the same steps as on desktop to download and secure your data.
