Find the IMEI number on your iPhone
You can find the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number of your iPhone using the following methods:
1. On the iPhone:
- Open the “Settings” app.
- Scroll down and tap on “General.”
- Tap on “About.”
- Look for the “IMEI” field. The 15-digit IMEI number should be displayed here.
2. On the iPhone Box:
- Check the original packaging of your iPhone. The IMEI number is usually printed on the box, along with other device information.
3. On the SIM Tray:
- If you have an iPhone with a removable SIM card tray, you might find the IMEI number engraved on the tray itself. You’ll need to remove the tray to see it.
4. Dialing a Code:
- Open the Phone app.
- Dial *#06#. The IMEI number will be displayed on the screen.
5. In iCloud Settings (if your iPhone is lost or stolen):
- If your iPhone is lost or stolen and you’ve previously set up Find My iPhone, you can also find the IMEI number by logging into your iCloud account on a computer and going to the “Find iPhone” section.
6. In iTunes (if your iPhone is connected to a computer):
- Connect your iPhone to a computer and open iTunes (or Finder on macOS Catalina and later).
- Select your device from the iTunes interface.
- Look for the “Summary” tab, and the IMEI number should be displayed along with other device details.
Remember that the IMEI number is a unique identifier for your iPhone, and it’s important for purposes such as activation, reporting a lost or stolen device, and verifying the authenticity of your device.
