The 4 Ways to Change Your Gmail Address

There are several ways to change your Gmail address:

  1. Create a new Gmail account: This is the easiest way to change your Gmail address. You can create a new Gmail account with your desired username and email address. However, keep in mind that you will need to update your contact information with anyone who had your old Gmail address.
  2. Add a new email address to your existing Gmail account: You can add a new email address to your existing Gmail account by going to “Settings” > “Accounts and Import” > “Add a mail account.” From there, you can follow the prompts to add your new email address. This way, you can receive emails sent to your new email address in your existing Gmail account.
  3. Create email aliases: Gmail allows you to create email aliases, which are essentially different versions of your existing Gmail address. You can create an email alias by going to “Settings” > “Accounts and Import” > “Send mail as.” From there, you can follow the prompts to create your email alias. This way, you can use different versions of your Gmail address for different purposes without having to create a new account.
  4. Request a custom email address: If you have a G Suite account, you can request a custom email address that uses your own domain name. This can be a good option if you want to have a professional-looking email address that is not a Gmail address. To request a custom email address, go to “Admin console” > “Domains” > “Add/remove domains.” From there, you can follow the prompts to set up your custom email address.
