How to Switch to OpenDNS or Google DNS to Speed Up Web Browsing

Here are the steps on how to switch to OpenDNS or Google DNS to speed up web browsing:

1. Open the Control Panel. 2. Click on Network and Internet. 3. Click on Network and Sharing Center. 4. Click on Change adapter settings. 5. Right-click on the network adapter you want to change the DNS settings for and select Properties. 6. Select the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click on Properties. 7. Select the Use the following DNS server addresses option. 8. Enter the following DNS server addresses:

  • For OpenDNS:
    • Preferred: 208.67.222.222
    • Alternate: 208.67.220.220
  • For Google DNS:
    • Preferred: 8.8.8.8
    • Alternate: 8.8.4.4
  1. Click OK.

Your computer will now use OpenDNS or Google DNS instead of your ISP’s DNS servers. This may improve the speed of your web browsing.

Please note that switching to OpenDNS or Google DNS may not make a significant difference in the speed of your web browsing. The speed of your web browsing is also affected by other factors, such as the distance between your computer and the website you are trying to access.
