How to Share Your iPhone Calendar: Collaborate with Friends, Family & Colleagues!
A Step-by-Step Guide on How to Share Your iPhone Calendar
There are two main ways to share your calendar from an iPhone: sharing with specific people and creating a public calendar. Both methods are done through the Calendar app.
Sharing with People:
- Open the Calendar app on your iPhone.
- Tap Calendars at the bottom of the screen.
- Locate the specific calendar you want to share and tap the “i” icon next to it.
- Select “Add Person” in the menu that appears.
- You can then enter the email address or name of the person you want to share with. You can also browse your contacts by tapping the “+” icon.
- Once you’ve chosen who to share with, tap “Add” and then “Done”.
Sharing Publicly:
- Open the Calendar app and navigate to “Calendars” as before.
- Find the calendar you want to make public and tap the “i” icon.
- In the settings menu, toggle the switch next to “Public Calendar” to the “On” position.
- With the calendar set to public, you’ll now see a “Share Link” option. Tap this to copy the link to your clipboard.
- You can paste this link anywhere you want to share your calendar, like a text message, email, or website.
Permissions and Considerations:
- When sharing with people, they will need an iCloud account to view and edit the calendar (unless you make it public).
- With public calendars, anyone with the link can view your events.
- You can choose the level of permission you grant to those you share with. They can have viewing access only, or permission to add and edit events as well.
By following these steps, you can easily share your iPhone calendar with others and keep everyone on the same page.
