Additional tips for using Facebook’s profile lock feature:
- You can unlock your profile at any time by repeating the steps above and selecting “Unlock Profile” from the drop-down menu.
- When your profile is locked, non-friends who visit your profile will see a limited version of your profile, which includes only your profile picture, cover photo, and bio.
- If someone tries to tag you in a post or photo, and they are not your friend, their tag will not appear on your profile until you approve it.
- If you have any public posts or photos on your profile, they will still be visible to anyone who visits your profile while it is locked. You can change the privacy settings for individual posts or photos to restrict their visibility.
