How to Change Your Steam Username

Here’s how to change your Steam username:

1. Open the Steam client on your computer and log in to your account.
2. Click on your current username in the upper right corner of the screen and select “View profile” from the dropdown menu.
3. On your profile page, click on the “Edit Profile” button.
4. In the “Profile Name” field, type in the new username you want to use. Note that your new username must be unique and can only contain letters, numbers, hyphens, and underscores.
5. Click on the “Save Changes” button to save your new username.
6. You will be prompted to enter your Steam password to confirm the change. Enter your password and click on “Continue”.
7. Your username will be updated immediately and will be displayed on your profile page and in any games or communities you participate in.

Note that changing your Steam username will not affect your account login information or your game library. Your friends list, achievements, and other profile information will also remain unchanged.
