How To Change Your Apple ID Password on Any Device

You can change your Apple ID password on any device that has an internet connection. Here are the steps on how to do it:

On an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:

  1. Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Password & Security.
  2. Tap Change Password.
  3. Enter your current Apple ID password and tap Continue.
  4. Enter a new password and tap Continue.
  5. Enter your new password again and tap Change Password.

On a Mac:

  1. Click on the Apple logo in the top left corner of your screen and select System Preferences.
  2. Click on Apple ID.
  3. Click on Password & Security.
  4. Click on Change Password.
  5. Enter your current Apple ID password and click on Continue.
  6. Enter a new password and click on Continue.
  7. Enter your new password again and click on Change Password.

On the web:

  1. Go to appleid.apple.com.
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID.
  3. Click on Security.
  4. Click on Password.
  5. Click on Change Password.
  6. Enter your current Apple ID password and click on Continue.
  7. Enter a new password and click on Continue.
  8. Enter your new password again and click on Change Password.

Once you have changed your Apple ID password, you will need to update it on all of your devices. To do this, you will need to sign out of your Apple ID and then sign back in using your new password.

Here are some additional tips for changing your Apple ID password:

  • Choose a strong password that is at least 8 characters long and includes a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.
  • Do not use the same password for your Apple ID as you do for other accounts.
  • If you think your Apple ID password has been compromised, you should change it immediately.
  • You can also use two-factor authentication to add an extra layer of security to your Apple ID account.
