To auto-mount a disk drive in Ubuntu and make partitions mount at startup, you can follow these steps:
- Connect the disk drive to your Ubuntu system.
- Open the Disks utility by searching for it in the Activities overview or opening it from the Applications menu.
- In the left pane of the Disks utility, select the disk drive that you want to auto-mount.
- In the right pane, click on the partition that you want to mount at startup.
- Click on the gear icon below the partition and select “Edit Mount Options”.
- In the “Mount Options” dialog box, enable the “Automatic Mount Options” toggle switch.
- Make sure that the “Mount at startup” option is enabled.
- Click on the “OK” button to save the changes.
- Repeat steps 4-8 for all the partitions that you want to mount at startup.
- Close the Disks utility.
Now, the selected partitions will be automatically mounted at startup. You can verify this by restarting your Ubuntu system and checking if the partitions are mounted.
