Split-screen mode in Windows 10 allows you to view two or more windows side by side on your screen. This can be useful for multitasking, comparing documents, or watching a video while working on something else.
There are two main ways to split your screen in Windows 10:
Method 1: Using the Snap feature
The Snap feature is a quick and easy way to split your screen in Windows 10. To use it, simply follow these steps:
- Click and drag the title bar of the window you want to snap to the left or right side of your screen.
- Release the mouse button when the window snaps into place.
- Repeat steps 1 and 2 with another window to snap it to the other side of your screen.
You can also use the keyboard shortcut Windows key + Left arrow or Windows key + Right arrow to snap a window to the left or right side of your screen, respectively.
Method 2: Using the manual method
If you don’t want to use the Snap feature, you can also split your screen manually. To do this, simply follow these steps:
- Click and drag the bottom right corner of the window you want to resize until it fills half of your screen.
- Repeat step 1 with another window to fill the other half of your screen.
You can also use the keyboard shortcut Windows key + Up arrow or Windows key + Down arrow to resize a window to the top or bottom half of your screen, respectively.
Once you have split your screen, you can resize the windows by clicking and dragging the divider between them. You can also drag the windows to different positions on your screen.
To exit split-screen mode, simply click and drag the window you want to close to the top of your screen.
