To turn off an Apple Watch, you can use the device itself or the paired iPhone. Here are the steps for both methods:

Method 1: Using the Apple Watch

  1. Press and hold the Side Button: On the side of the Apple Watch, there is a button that is not the Digital Crown. Press and hold this button until the power off slider appears on the screen.
  2. Slide to Power Off: Once the power off slider appears, drag it to the right edge of the screen to turn off the Apple Watch.
  3. Wait for Shutdown: The watch will take a few seconds to shut down completely.

Method 2: Using the Paired iPhone

  1. Unlock the iPhone: Unlock your paired iPhone.
  2. Open the Watch App: Find and open the “Watch” app on your iPhone. It has a green icon with a white side view of an Apple Watch.
  3. Access Watch Settings: In the Watch app, tap on the “My Watch” tab at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Tap General: In the “My Watch” settings, locate and tap on “General.”
  5. Shut Down: Scroll down to the bottom of the General settings and tap on “Shut Down.”
  6. Confirm Shutdown: A confirmation prompt will appear. Tap “Shut Down” to confirm and turn off the Apple Watch.

After performing either of these methods, your Apple Watch will be turned off. To turn it back on, press and hold the side button until the Apple logo appears on the screen.

Keep in mind that turning off the Apple Watch will also stop all its functions, and you won’t receive notifications or track activities until you turn it back on. It’s a good idea to turn it off when not in use or during situations where you need to conserve battery life.
