How to Insert the Degree Symbol in Microsoft Word

You can insert the degree symbol in Microsoft Word using one of the following methods:

Method 1: Keyboard Shortcut

  1. Place the insertion point where you want to insert the degree symbol.
  2. Press and hold the “Alt” key on your keyboard.
  3. While holding down the “Alt” key, type “0176” on the numeric keypad.
  4. Release the “Alt” key, and the degree symbol (°) should appear.

Method 2: Symbol Menu
