How to Block Text Messages on an iPhone and Unblock

You can block and unblock text messages on an iPhone using the following steps:

Block a Contact:

  1. Open the “Messages” app.
  2. Find the conversation from the contact you want to block.
  3. Tap on the contact’s name at the top of the conversation.
  4. Tap on “Info” (it looks like an “i” in a circle).
  5. Scroll down and tap on “Block this Caller”.
  6. Tap “Block Contact” to confirm.

Unblock a Contact:

  1. Go to the “Settings” app.
  2. Scroll down and tap on “Phone”.
  3. Tap on “Blocked Contacts”.
  4. Find the contact you want to unblock and swipe left on their name.
  5. Tap on “Unblock”.
  6. Confirm by tapping “Unblock” again.

Note: When you block a contact, you will not receive any phone calls, messages, or FaceTime calls from them. Blocked contacts will not be able to see your online status, read receipts, or last seen status in iMessage.
