Block phone numbers, contacts, and emails on your iPhone

If you want to block a phone number, contact, or email on your iPhone, there are a few steps you can follow:

  1. Open the Phone app, Contacts app, or the Mail app depending on what you want to block.
  2. Find the phone number, contact, or email that you want to block.
  3. For phone numbers and contacts, tap on the “i” icon next to the phone number or contact name. For emails, tap on the sender’s name or email address.
  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and tap on “Block this Caller” or “Block Contact” (for phone numbers and contacts) or “Block this Contact” (for emails).
  5. Confirm your choice by tapping on “Block Contact” or “Block” in the pop-up that appears.

Alternatively, you can also block phone numbers and contacts directly from the Settings app:

  1. Open the Settings app and tap on “Phone” or “Messages” (depending on what you want to block).
  2. Tap on “Blocked Contacts” or “Blocked” (for messages).
  3. Tap on “Add New” and select the contact or phone number you want to block.

Once you block a phone number, contact, or email, they will not be able to call, message, or email you. You can view and manage your blocked contacts and numbers by going to the “Blocked Contacts” or “Blocked” section in the Phone or Messages settings.
