Unfortunately, once an archived story is deleted on Facebook, it cannot be recovered. Facebook does not offer a feature to restore or retrieve deleted stories from the Story Archive after you’ve removed them.

Here’s a breakdown:

✅ What You Can Do:

  1. Check if it was only hidden, not deleted:

    • Go to your Facebook profile.

    • Tap the three dots (•••) > Archive > Story Archive.

    • See if the story is still there. If it is, you can re-share or save it.

  2. Check ‘Activity Log’ (for confirmation):

    • Go to your profile.

    • Tap the three dots (•••) > Activity Log > Your Posts > Stories.

    • See if there’s any record of the deleted story.

  3. Check if it’s saved on your phone:

    • If you had auto-save turned on for stories, it might still be in your phone’s gallery or Facebook story folder.

❌ What You Cannot Do:

  • If you manually deleted a story from the Story Archive, Facebook permanently deletes it. There’s no trash bin or undo option.

🔒 For Future Prevention:

  • Turn on Story Save to Camera Roll:

    • Go to the Facebook app > Menu > Settings > Stories > Save to Camera Roll.

    • This ensures you have a backup outside Facebook.

  • Regularly download your Facebook data:

    • Go to Settings & Privacy > Settings > Your Facebook Information > Download Profile Information.

    • Select Stories before downloading.
