Two Finger Scroll Not Working Windows 10 (Fixed)

Two-finger scrolling is a convenient feature that allows you to scroll through web pages and documents using two fingers on your touchpad. However, sometimes this feature can stop working, which can be frustrating. Here are some tips on how to fix two-finger scrolling not working in Windows 10:

Check if two-finger scrolling is enabled

  1. Go to Start > Settings > Devices > Touchpad.
  2. Under Scroll and zoom, make sure the box next to Drag two fingers to scroll is checked.

Update your touchpad drivers

  1. Go to Start > Device Manager.
  2. Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
  3. Right-click on your touchpad driver and select Update driver.
  4. Select Search automatically for updated driver software.

Restart your computer

Sometimes, a simple restart can fix minor glitches that can cause two-finger scrolling to stop working.

Uninstall and reinstall your touchpad drivers

  1. Go to Start > Device Manager.
  2. Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
  3. Right-click on your touchpad driver and select Uninstall device.
  4. Restart your computer. Windows will automatically reinstall the touchpad drivers.

Use a third-party touchpad driver

If the above steps don’t work, you can try using a third-party touchpad driver. There are a number of third-party touchpad drivers available, such as Synaptics Touchpad Driver and Elan Touchpad Driver.

Check for hardware problems

If you’ve tried all of the above steps and two-finger scrolling is still not working, it’s possible that there is a hardware problem with your touchpad. You can try connecting an external USB mouse to see if that works. If the external mouse works, then the problem is likely with your touchpad and you will need to contact your laptop manufacturer for further assistance.

Here are some additional tips:

  • Make sure that your touchpad is clean and free of debris.
  • Try using two-finger scrolling in different applications to see if the problem is specific to one application.
  • If you are using a laptop, check to see if there is a touchpad driver update available from your laptop manufacturer.
