There are two main ways to take a screenshot on a Samsung Galaxy Tablet, depending on the model you have:

Method 1: Using Buttons (Works for most Samsung Tablets after 2017)

  1. Hold down the Power button located on the side of your tablet.

  2. Simultaneously press and hold the Volume Down button (located on the side of the tablet, usually next to the Power button).

Don’t hold the buttons for too long or you might activate the power menu or Bixby (Samsung’s virtual assistant). You should see a brief animation or hear a shutter sound indicating a successful screenshot.

Method 2: Using Buttons (For older Samsung Tablets before 2018)

If your Samsung Galaxy Tablet has a physical Home button below the screen, follow these steps:

  1. Hold down the Power button on the side of your tablet.

  2. Simultaneously press and hold the Home button until you see a brief animation or hear a shutter sound indicating a successful screenshot.

Alternative Method: Palm Swipe (on select models)

Some newer Samsung Galaxy Tabs like the S6 Lite might not have the button combination for screenshots. These may have an optional feature to capture screenshots using a palm swipe. Here’s how to enable and use it:

  1. Open the Settings app on your tablet.

  2. Search for Palm swipe to capture or navigate to Advanced features and then Palm swipe to capture.

  3. Toggle the switch on to activate this feature.

  4. Now, to take a screenshot, swipe the side of your hand (palm facing the screen) from left to right across the display.

Finding Your Screenshots:

Once you’ve captured a screenshot, it will usually be saved to your Gallery app. You can find the Gallery app on your home screen or app drawer and look for a new screenshot within your photos.
