Organize the Home Screen and App Library on your iPhone

Organizing the home screen and app library on your iPhone can help you easily access your favorite apps and improve your overall user experience. Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Rearrange apps on the home screen: Press and hold on any app icon until all the app icons start to wiggle. You can then drag the apps to any desired location on the home screen, including the dock at the bottom of the screen. To create a new folder, drag one app on top of another app, and a new folder will be created. You can then name the folder and add more apps to it by dragging them into the folder.
  2. Remove apps from the home screen: While the apps are still wiggling, tap on the “X” icon on the top left corner of any app icon that you want to remove. You can also remove multiple apps at once by tapping on the “Edit Home Screen” button on the top left corner of the screen and selecting multiple apps.
  3. Hide app pages: If you have too many app pages on your home screen, you can hide them to simplify your home screen. Press and hold on any app icon until all the app icons start to wiggle, then swipe to the right until you reach the app page you want to hide. Tap on the “dots” icon on the bottom of the screen and uncheck the app page you want to hide. The hidden app page can still be accessed from the app library.
  4. Use the app library: The app library is a new feature introduced in iOS 14 that automatically organizes your apps into categories and allows you to access them easily. To access the app library, swipe left on your home screen until you reach the last page, then swipe left again. You can then browse your apps by category or use the search bar to find a specific app. You can also create custom app categories by long-pressing on any app icon in the app library and selecting “Edit Category”.
  5. Customize app library settings: You can customize the app library settings by going to “Settings” > “Home Screen”. From here, you can choose whether to automatically add new apps to the app library, choose how many app pages to show on the home screen, and choose whether to show newly downloaded apps on the home screen or in the app library.

By following these steps, you can easily organize your home screen and app library on your iPhone and improve your overall user experience.
