How to Use map in satellite view
Have you ever craved a bird’s-eye view of your favorite locations or wanted to explore a place virtually before you visit? Look no further than satellite view in maps! This incredible feature allows you to see real-world imagery captured from satellites, offering a detailed and realistic perspective of our planet.
This guide will show you how to activate satellite view on two popular mapping platforms: Google Maps and Apple Maps.
Activating Satellite View on Google Maps:
On Desktop:
- Open Google Maps: Head over to https://maps.google.com/ on your web browser.
- Locate Your Area of Interest: Search for the specific location you want to see in satellite view by typing it into the search bar at the top left corner of the map.
- Activate Base Map Options: In the bottom right corner of the map window, you’ll see a square icon with four smaller squares stacked inside. Click on this icon.
- Choose Satellite View: A menu with different map views will appear. Select “Satellite” from the available options.
On Mobile (Android & iOS):
- Open the Google Maps App: Locate and tap on the Google Maps app icon on your phone’s home screen.

- Enable the Flyover Feature: Click and hold on the map with two fingers until the perspective zooms out and displays a 3D globe view. Release your fingers once you see the globe.

On Mobile (iPhone & iPad):
