To sign out of your Google Account or Gmail on a computer, follow these steps:
Signing Out of Gmail:
Open Gmail:
Go to Gmail and ensure you are signed in.
Click on Your Profile Picture:
In the upper-right corner of the Gmail window, you’ll see your profile picture or the initial of your name. Click on it.
Select “Sign out”:
A menu will appear. Click on “Sign out” at the bottom.
Signing Out of Google Account (Including Gmail):
If you want to sign out of your entire Google Account (which includes Gmail and other Google services):
Open Google:
Go to Google and ensure you are signed in.
Click on Your Profile Picture:
Similar to Gmail, in the upper-right corner, you’ll see your profile picture or initial. Click on it.
Click on “Sign out”:
A menu will appear. Click on “Sign out.”
Signing Out of Google Account on Android:
If you’re using the Gmail app or other Google services on an Android device, the steps to sign out are slightly different:
Open Settings:
Open the Settings app on your Android device.
Scroll Down and Tap on “Google”:
Scroll down to find and tap on “Google” or “Accounts and Backup” > “Accounts.”
Select Your Google Account:
Tap on your Google Account.
Tap on “Remove Account” or “Sign out”:
Depending on your device and Android version, you may see either “Remove Account” or “Sign out.” Tap on the appropriate option.
Signing Out of Google Account on iOS (iPhone or iPad):
If you’re using the Gmail app or other Google services on an iOS device:
Open Settings:
Open the Settings app on your iOS device.
Scroll Down and Tap on “Passwords & Accounts” or “Mail”:
Scroll down to find and tap on “Passwords & Accounts” or “Mail.”
Select Your Google Account:
Tap on your Google Account.
Tap on “Delete Account” or “Sign out”:
Depending on your device and iOS version, you may see either “Delete Account” or “Sign out.” Tap on the appropriate option.
Please note that signing out of your Google Account will also sign you out of other Google services, such as Google Drive, Google Calendar, etc., that you may be using.
