Amazon Fire tablets are affordable and come with a lot of features, but they don’t come with the Google Play Store pre-installed. While the Amazon App Store is a great alternative, many users prefer to have access to the vast selection of apps and games available on the Google Play Store. Fortunately, it is possible to install the Google Play Store on every Amazon Fire tablet. Here’s how to do it:
- Enable App Installation from Unknown Sources
The first step is to enable app installation from unknown sources. To do this, go to Settings > Security & Privacy and toggle on “Apps from Unknown Sources.”
- Download the Google Play Store APK
Next, you need to download the Google Play Store APK file. You can do this by opening the Silk Browser (or any other browser you have installed) and going to the APKMirror website. Search for “Google Play Store,” select the latest version, and download the APK file.
- Install the Google Play Store APK
Once the APK file has finished downloading, swipe down from the top of the screen and tap the downloaded APK file. Select “Install” and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
- Install Google Services Framework and Google Account Manager
After installing the Google Play Store, you will also need to install the Google Services Framework and Google Account Manager. You can download these APK files from the same APKMirror website.
- Log in to Your Google Account
Once the three APK files have been installed, open the Google Play Store app and log in to your Google account. If you don’t have a Google account, you can create one for free.
- Update Google Play Services
After logging in to your Google account, you may be prompted to update Google Play Services. If so, tap “Update” and follow the on-screen instructions.
That’s it! You now have access to the Google Play Store on your Amazon Fire tablet, along with all the apps and games available in the store. Keep in mind that installing the Google Play Store on your Amazon Fire tablet may void your warranty, so proceed at your own risk.
