How to Add Line Numbers to a Microsoft Word

To add line numbers to a Microsoft Word document:

  1. Open the document in Word.
  2. On the “Layout” tab, in the “Page Setup” group, click “Line Numbers.”
  3. Select the type of line numbering you want.
    • Continuous: Line numbers will appear on every line of the document.
