Israeli troops killed at least 20 Palestinians in the northern Gaza Strip during airstrikes and attacks on targets, including a school sheltering displaced Gazans. At least 11 were killed in three separate Israeli airstrikes on Gaza City houses, while the others were killed in Beit Lahiya, Beit Hanoun, and Jabalia camp.
The Israeli army has been operating in these towns for over two months. Palestinians accuse Israel of ethnic cleansing to depopulate areas and create a buffer zone, while Israel denies this. The war began when Hamas stormed into Israel in October 2023.
