Here are the steps to turn Location Services and GPS on or off on an iPhone:

  1. Open the “Settings” app on your iPhone.
  2. Scroll down and tap on “Privacy.”
  3. Tap on “Location Services.”
  4. To turn on Location Services, toggle the switch at the top of the screen to the right so it appears green.
  5. To turn off Location Services, toggle the switch at the top of the screen to the left so it appears white.

If you want to turn off Location Services for specific apps, you can do so on the same screen by scrolling down and selecting the app you want to adjust. Then you can choose “Never,” “While Using the App,” or “Ask Next Time” to customize your settings for that specific app.

To turn on or off GPS specifically, you’ll want to make sure that Location Services is turned on first. Then you can go to “Privacy” > “Location Services” > “System Services” and toggle the switch next to “Compass Calibration,” “Location-Based Apple Ads,” “Location-Based Suggestions,” and “Setting Time Zone” to turn GPS on or off for those specific features.
