How to set up a new Google account on your Android device

To set up a new Google account on your Android device, follow these steps:

  1. Turn on your Android device and go to the Settings app.
  2. Scroll down to the “Accounts” section and tap on “Add account”.
  3. Select “Google” from the list of account types.
  4. Enter your first and last name, then tap on “Next”.
  5. Enter the email address you want to use for your new Google account, then tap on “Next”.
  6. Create a strong password and enter it twice to confirm, then tap on “Next”.
  7. If you want, you can add a recovery email address and phone number to help you recover your account if you ever get locked out.
  8. Agree to the Google Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, then tap on “I agree” to continue.
  9. You may be prompted to set up a payment method for your Google account. If you don’t want to add one at this time, you can tap on “Skip” or “Not now”.
  10. Your new Google account is now set up on your Android device, and you can use it to access all Google services, including the Google Play Store, Gmail, and Google Drive.
