To use your Gmail account as your email sender via SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol), follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Gmail account and click on the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen.
  2. Select “Settings” from the dropdown menu.
  3. Click on the “Accounts and Import” tab.
  4. Under the “Send mail as” section, click on “Add another email address.”
  5. Enter your name and the email address you want to send from. Make sure the “Treat as an alias” checkbox is selected.
  6. Click “Next Step.”
  7. In the “SMTP Server” field, enter “smtp.gmail.com.”
  8. In the “Username” field, enter your full Gmail email address.
  9. In the “Password” field, enter your Gmail password.
  10. In the “Port” field, enter “587.”
  11. Select “TLS” as the security protocol.
  12. Click “Add Account.”
  13. Gmail will send a verification code to the email address you entered. Check your inbox and enter the verification code in the field provided.
  14. Click “Verify.”
  15. You can now select your Gmail address as the sender when composing a new email in your email client.
