To take a screenshot on an iPhone 12, you can follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the screen you want to capture in the screenshot.
  2. Locate the Side button (previously known as the Sleep/Wake or Power button) and the Volume Up button on your iPhone 12. The Side button is on the right side of the device, and the Volume Up button is on the left side.
  3. Press the Side button and the Volume Up button simultaneously. Quickly press and release both buttons together.
  4. You’ll see a flash animation on the screen, and you may hear the camera shutter sound (if your device is not on silent mode).
  5. The screenshot will be captured and saved to your iPhone’s Photos app.
  6. To access and view the screenshot, open the Photos app on your iPhone and go to the “Screenshots” album. The most recent screenshot will be at the bottom of the album.

Alternatively, you can also preview and edit the screenshot immediately after capturing it by tapping on the thumbnail image that appears in the bottom-left corner of the screen. This thumbnail will appear briefly and can be tapped to open the screenshot in the editing mode. From there, you can annotate, crop, or make other adjustments to the screenshot before saving it to your Photos app.

These steps should work for the iPhone 12 models, including iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max, running iOS 14 or later.
