How to access your passwords in Google Chrome

Google Chrome has a built-in password manager that can save, store and autofill your login credentials for different websites. If you’re using Chrome as your primary browser, you may have saved numerous passwords over time. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to access and manage your saved passwords in Google Chrome.

Step 1: Open Chrome Settings Open Google Chrome and click the three dots in the top right corner of the browser window. Then, click on “Settings” from the dropdown menu.

Step 2: Access Passwords Once in Settings, scroll down and click on “Passwords” located under the “Autofill” section.

Step 3: View Your Saved Passwords Under “Saved Passwords,” you’ll see a list of all the passwords that you have saved in Chrome. Each entry will show the website’s name, username, and a masked password. Click on the eye icon next to any saved password to reveal it.

Step 4: Edit or Delete Passwords If you want to edit or delete a saved password, you can do so by clicking on the three dots next to the entry and selecting either “Edit” or “Remove.”

Step 5: Manage Passwords If you want to manage your passwords more effectively, click on the “Manage Passwords” link located at the bottom of the “Saved Passwords” section. This will take you to the Google Password Manager where you can view and manage all your saved passwords across all your devices.

Step 6: Use Autofill If you want to use Chrome’s Autofill feature to fill in your login credentials automatically, make sure that the “Offer to save passwords” and “Auto Sign-in” options are turned on. This will ensure that Chrome prompts you to save new passwords and automatically fills in login information for saved passwords when you visit a website.

That’s it! With these simple steps, you can access, manage, and autofill your saved passwords in Google Chrome. Keep in mind that it’s important to keep your passwords secure, so make sure to use strong passwords and enable two-factor authentication whenever possible.
