Emoticons, also known as emoji, can be added to different platforms in several ways:
- On a computer: To add emoticons in documents or online platforms, you can use the built-in emoji keyboard on your computer, or you can copy and paste emoji from a website. To access the emoji keyboard on Windows, press Windows + ; (semi-colon) or Windows + . (period). On a Mac, press Control + Command + Space.
- In instant messaging apps: Most instant messaging apps, such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and Slack, have built-in emoji keyboards that can be accessed by clicking on the smiley face icon. Some apps also allow you to type in specific emoji codes to add the desired emoji to your message.
- On social media: To add emoticons to social media posts, you can use the built-in emoji keyboards provided by the platform, or you can copy and paste emoji from a website. Some social media platforms, such as Twitter and Instagram, also support emoji codes that can be typed in to add specific emoji to your posts.
- In text messages: To add emoticons in text messages, you can use the built-in emoji keyboard on your smartphone, or you can copy and paste emoji from a website. Most modern smartphones have a built-in emoji keyboard that can be accessed by tapping on the smiley face icon.
A faster way would be 🧐 By copying others under the same post or video, when you comment you might find somebody already posted the emoji you are looking for.

Another Good Way – User mobile app
Since desktop version doesn’t show emoji options, you can download Quora app on mobile and use your generic mobile emoji there.
If you have a PC you can go to google and search for UTF Icons with the emoji title for example UTF Wink, or UTF Laugh etc and you will find the utf icon. You can directly copy-paste it.
