Adding, Editing, or Deleting Your Google Maps Reviews & Ratings
Adding, editing, or deleting your Google Maps reviews and ratings is a simple process you can do on both your computer and mobile device. Here’s how:
On Your Computer:
1. Find the Place You Reviewed:
- Open Google Maps on your computer.
- Search for the place you want to review or click on it on the map.
2. Access Your Reviews:
- Click on the place’s name or address at the top of the screen.
- Scroll down and click on the “Reviews” tab.
3. Add a New Review:
- Click on the empty star rating at the top.
- Write your review in the text box below.
- Optionally, add photos or videos by clicking the camera icon.
- Click “Post”.
4. Edit or Delete an Existing Review:
- Find the review you want to edit or delete.
- Click on the three dots next to the review.
- Select “Edit review” or “Delete review”.
- Make your changes or confirm deletion.
On Your Mobile Device (Android & iOS):
1. Find the Place You Reviewed:
- Open the Google Maps app on your phone or tablet.
- Search for the place you want to review or tap on it on the map.
2. Access Your Reviews:
- Tap on the place’s name or address at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll down and tap on the “Reviews” tab.
3. Add a New Review:
- Tap on the empty star rating at the top.
- Write your review in the text box below.
- Optionally, add photos or videos by tapping the camera icon.
- Tap “Post”.
4. Edit or Delete an Existing Review:
- Find the review you want to edit or delete.
- Tap on the three dots next to the review.
- Select “Edit review” or “Delete review”.
- Make your changes or confirm deletion.
Additional Tips:
- You can also edit or delete your reviews by visiting your Google Maps contributions page. To do this, click on your profile picture in the top right corner of Google Maps on your computer, then select “Your contributions” > “Reviews”.
- Be sure to follow Google’s review policies when writing your reviews. Reviews that are offensive, hateful, or inaccurate may be removed.
- You can only edit or delete your own reviews, not the reviews of other people.
